Signs and Symbols of the Eucharist
There are many signs and symbols used in the Eucharist, that resebal many different things that are used through the Mass.

Water
​
Water resebals baptism, as people in Jesus' time were baptised in rivers or large souces of water such as springs.
White Garments
Wearing white garments are a symbol of "putting on Christ", becoming one with Jesus and is a Sign of pure new life, grace and cleasing people of all sin.

Laying of Hands
The laying of hands resembles call down opon the Holy Spirit, and the act of laying your hand towards someone is a symbol of calling to Holy Spirit to bless and protect that person. The act is used in the mass to bless the bread and blood of Christ.
Bread and Wine
The bread and wine is a symbol of the body and blood of Christ in which Jesus gave to his desciples. The blood symbolises Joy and the bread resembals life, eating them together is a sign of common life, fellowship and common love.

Fire/Light

Is the symbol of God's purifiying presence, and is connected to the buring bush of God that spoke to Moses.
The Oil
Being anointed with oil is a symbol of joining Christianity and Jesus. It is a symbol of you joining Jesus and speading his message: the word of God.
