Parts of the Eucharist

 

There are many parts to the Eucharist Mass, that celebrate and resemble many things. The first part of the Mass is the greeting. The guests are greeted by those at the door and by those attending Church.

The Liturgy of the Word

Then the Liturgy of the Word starts, and here we read the readings from Mark, Matthew, Luke or John and have the Homily.

The Liturgy of the Holy Eucharist

We then have the Liturgy of the Holy Eucharist where we celebrate the Offertory, the blessing of the bread and wine where we offer God these gifts, pray the Eucharist Prayer and where all those confirmed to communion recive the bread and wine. Songs may be sung inbetween the mass, and the last part of the mass is saying goodbye to those around you in the Church.
